Public Finance and Public Policy

课程概况：

   本课程主要研究公共部门在经济中的作用，包括外部性、公共产品、地方公共服务供给及需求、财产税、教育政策及经济发展政策。本课程旨在帮助学生理解现有政策并开展相关研究，课程面向公共财政与政策研究的博士生。

课程资料：

The primary course materials are journal articles. Most of the required readings are recent examples of high-quality empirical research in public finance and policy analysis. Students are encouraged to look at the Journal of Public Economics, National Tax Journal, Public Finance Review, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, and Public Budgeting and Finance to find other articles on topics they wish to pursue.

While the course does not follow any particular textbook, some basic lecture material is taken from the textbook Public Finance and Public Policy by Jonathan Gruber.
